History
Hearing Resources was opened in June of 1987 as a
full service Hearing Aid dispensing practice. When we opened
the business it was located on the corner of 52nd and SE Mitchell.
The business remained in this location for fifteen years before moving
to our currently location at 4311 NE Tillamook St in 2002. The
business is owned by Jay and Louise Thurman and between the two of
them they have over fifty-six years experience serving the
hard-of-hearing in Portland and the surrounding area. In September of 2003 Hearing
Resources opened a satellite office in Seaside one day a week at the
O'Donovan Clinic. Due to the closing of the O'Donovan Clinic
in the fall of 2009 we were forced to close our Seaside Office.
Hearing Resources specializes in both difficult fittings and the
latest in hearing system integration incorporating both hearing aids
and advanced technology products including wireless microphones,
BlueTooth devices (both headset and headphone protocols) along with
telephones and televisions.
